Global Leo Conference

Annual Event Promises Creativity, Excitement

It's easy to understand why Leos get so excited about the Global Leo Conference. This fun, energizing and educational event:

  • Takes place during the annual Lions Clubs International Convention
  • Provides an opportunity for members from 139 countries to get together
  • Allows Leos to return to their clubs brimming with new service project ideas they can use right away

Conference Activities

The Global Leo Conference brings Leos from across the globe

together to gain leadership skills. Explore other cultures. Network with other Leos, international leaders and representatives from Lions Clubs International. And learn about other club and district projects and ideas at:

  • A Leo welcome center
  • Opening and closing sessions
  • Informative skill-development seminars

This event also features a special forum for Leo Club Advisors. It gives Leos the chance to take part in the exciting Parade of Nations. And it provides a way to share club success stories, enjoy the camaraderie and companionship of Leos from other countries and learn how Leos function on an international scale.

The registration fee is your admission to the convention events including seminars, plenary sessions, parade and exhibit hall.

Registrants will receive an official name badge and souvenirmedallion, program with discount coupons for local tours and attractions and one ticket for the international show.

Convention badges are mailed in mid-May 2010 to each registered delegate or group.

International Convention activities will take place at numerous venues in the Sydney, Australia area.

International Convention Venue

The International Show and plenary sessions will take place at the Sydney Entertainment Centre. This is one of Sydney's best indoor arenas and it is located adjacent to the convention center.

The Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre (SCEC) is where you will find our redesigned exhibit hall, all convention seminars/meetings/workshops, offices and voting facilities. Located on the waterfront in the popular Darling Harbour district, the SCEC is an ideal venue for our event featuring spacious meeting rooms, numerous restaurants and a modern exhibit hall all within an easy-to-navigate facility.

Board of Directors Meeting Venue

The International Board of Directors will hold their meeting prior to convention at both the Four Seasons and Shangri-La Hotels located approximately 2 miles (3km) from the SCEC.

District Governors-Elect (DGE) Seminar Venue

The District Governors will be assigned to both the Four Points by Sheraton and Star City Hotels located within 1 mile (1.5km) of the SCEC. DGE Seminar training will take place at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre (SCEC).
